Who is emedia and what do you do?

emedia is a technology consultancy/firm with deep experience assembling teams both locally and internationally to tackle digital transformation projects of all shapes and sizes. Essentially, we are a boutique Capgemini, Tata, or Accenture. That means we do 3 core things: (1) technology strategy, (2) software development, and (3) project management. Additional services include business analysis; UI/UX; database architecture design; mobile application development; interface/front end development; testing; and cybersecurity.

Are you a registered woman owned business?
Yes! We are registered as a woman owned business with WBENC, NYC, NYS, and Port Authority of NY & NJ. One of our core values as a company is to support diversity in technology. Greater participation of people from all backgrounds and genders in technology results in healthy innovation and better outcomes.
Why should I work with emedia?

Look at our record. We have successfully run projects for some of the most respected names worldwide like Kellogg’s, Time Out New York, the University of Michigan, Harvard Business Publishing, and the 4As, in industries ranging from consumer products, manufacturing, and tech startups to content, music, finance, and non-profit. Our exceptional team of senior consultants offer clients superior high-touch services coupled with some of the best technological minds in the industry. Plus, people like to work with us!

What industries do you specialize in?

Our experienced and long-standing consultancy spans a myriad of industries. Technology challenges and their solutions are not as unique or niche-y as they may first look, and our expertise can be successfully applied to just about any industry.

What is the average size of your projects?
Over the course of our rich history, we’ve tackled projects of all shapes and sizes. These generally last 3 months to one year, but sometimes go longer depending on client needs.
What’s the cost of working with emedia?
Our billing rates are competitive with industry standards, and the total cost of our engagement will depend on the size, complexity, and timeframe of your project. Contact us for more information.
When is the right time to engage a consultant like emedia?
At emedia, we feel we can do our very best work when we are brought in when a project is just a glimmer of an idea. In reality, companies tend to call us when a problem arises or a project has run aground. Either way, we’ve got your back!
Is it more cost-effective to hire emedia or to build an internal team?
Both. We tend to come into an organization and are best utilized at an inflection point. Perhaps a company is trying to get from point A to point B, but is facing challenges that have stumped the internal team. Or maybe they’ve already taken a few stabs at solving those challenges, but have been unable to break through for whatever reason. To stop the wheels from spinning, a client will engage with us for a targeted period of time to tackle the issue, solve the problem, raise the internal-level of skill, and then perform the handoff so that an internal team can continue to propel the business forward in what becomes a new, steady state. Essentially, clients will ask us to come in, supercharge them, get them out of their own way, and elevate them to the next level.
What’s emedia's process? What does a typical client engagement look like from start to finish?

Our projects begin with a discovery phase, during which the emedia team familiarizes itself with the client’s business, goals, and challenges. Then we put together a proposal on how we can potentially work together to meet client needs.

    Project phases usually include:

    • Strategy
    • Requirements
    • Management Process Setup & Agreement
    • Development
    • QA/UAT
    • Launch & Launch Support
    • Transition to Steady State
What if I can’t exactly pinpoint my problem to know what kind of support I need from emedia?
We’ve all been there. We have so many questions, we don’t even know what our questions are. Or maybe we know things aren’t going right, but we’re not really sure why or how to fix it and we need some fresh thinking to get us out of that rut. That’s OK! Reach out to us as a first step. We’ll help you clarify the nature of the problem, bring our expertise and experience to bear, and help you understand how you need to target your efforts to achieve your goals.
